Chris Mathieson – Guest Star

Chris Mathieson is operator and manager of the historic Grist Mill and Gardens Historical Site in Keremeos, BC, but he describes himself primarily as a storyteller who puts the ‘story’ into ‘history’.
“At heart I’m a storyteller who loves helping people connect to and make sense of the people, places and objects around them,” he says.
Chris began operating the Grist Mill in February 2013 under contract to the Heritage Branch of the BC Provincial Government, and managed to triple tourism visits over the previous year. He also launched a campaign to restore the old flour mill itself, which is now capable of producing quality flour once more.
Chris also leads the National Executive for Interpretation Canada and is a director of the Similkameen Country Development Association.
